Job Description

These open positions are for Applibase software product development in Bangalore. After an initial period of training on the key technologies and tools used in Applibase products, software engineers will undertake a number of product development responsibilities. Software engineers will be required to quickly master a broad range of technologies, which would include Java, XML, messaging, web services, and relational databases. Development will be primarily in Java, and will require the use of a number of development tools and libraries supporting the Java platform.

Software engineers will specify, design, develop, test and maintain software components, modules and sub-systems of Applibase products, as well as help customers understand and use the products they are developing. They will work under direct supervision and be expected to deliver quality work in every aspect of software development. Software engineers will need to learn whatever technology or tool is required to get the job done.

Software engineers will be required to use their communication skills to present, document, and help customers use the products they are developing. They will also use these skills in communicating with other engineers and knowledge sharing within the company. Engineers need to listen to customers, industry experts, and other engineers, and form independent judgements on the best course of action. A key responsibility of engineers at Applibase will be to take responsibility for their work, and think independently about what needs to be done rather than wait to be told what to do. At Applibase, engineers are expected to understand how their work impacts and benefits customers, as well as use that understanding in planning and prioritizing their work.
